What is Art Therapy?
An interactive art experience.
Leader: Beth Ann Short MA, ATR
Are you interested in the field of art therapy, but don't know what it's all about?
This interactive talk will answer any questions you might have.
Short will discuss a brief history of Art Therapy as well as discuss the importance of having a Master's in Art Therapy when using it in mental health treatment.
She will also cover the education process, credentials available, ethical use and job hunting.
The second half of the presentation will be a hands on art making session.  This is not a therapy session, but an opportunity to create a piece of art about yourself.
For participants 18 and older.

Music Law
Leader: Peter Vaughan Shaver, Esq.
This two-hour interactive workshop will provide musicians with practical information on various legal topics related to the music business, with a focus on copyrights and contracts.  Anyone involved with, or interested in, the music business should attend: solo performers, bands, manager, producers, promoters, and record labels.
Copyright topics will include the most important concepts that every musician should know, sound recording versus song compositions copyrights, registering your music with the Copyright Office, and how to make money from your music.
The discussion of music business contract will focus on recording and publishing agreement basics, licensing, management and distribution deals, band and side musician agreements, production deals, and more.
