Teaching with Art(s)cool PDX:  Art(s)cool PDX ( http://artscoolpdx.com/EducatorsPage.aspx)  is a separate program that is housed at The 100th Monkey Studio. Our teachers often are involved in Art(s)cool PDX and The 100th Monkey Programs. Contracting with Art(s)cool PDX can range from running an after school class in a local elementary or high school to co-running an art night or in school arts or sciences class.
Each opportunity is different for contractors rates and can range from $20 - $50 per hour.

How do I Become a Teacher with the 100th Monkey Studio & Art(s) Cool PDX?
We are seeking teachers to help us grow our programs at the 100th Monkey Studio & Art(s)cool PDX!  If you are a professional in your field and love teaching here is how you can get involved with the studio. We are looking for teachers for adult & kid classes. From fine arts, crafts, writing, drama, movement, science & more!

If you are interested in contracting with The 100th Monkey Studio or Art(s)cool PDX to teach classes please attend an information session to get started.

The 100th Monkey Studio & Art(s)cool PDX is a great place to begin teaching or continue your love of teaching in a contract format. Our programs contract with teachers to work within our studio The 100th Monkey and outside in the Portland area schools.

We look for teachers who are interested in teaching adult classes within The 100th Monkey Studio in visual fine arts or craft and writing. We are also looking for teachers who may want to work with youth within our studio or in an outside school setting.

Teachers looking to work with our Youth Programs range from visual arts & craft, music, drama, movement and science based classes.

Contractor: Coop & Flex Teacher Opportunities
Level 1 Flex Teacher/Contractor: $45/Hour
This teacher is using the space to teach 1-2 classes per month. This teacher is an independent contractor and completes a contract for each individual class.
Level 2 Coop Teacher: $250 / Month
This teacher is using the space for teaching, personal work time & special events. This teacher has a specific amount of hours each month of studio space. This teacher/contractor will complete a Coop Contractor Agreement for 6 months and determine the exact time & schedule.
Level 3 Coop Teacher: $500/ Month
This teacher is using the space for teaching, personal work time & special events. This teacher has specific amount of hour each month of studio space. This teacher/contractor will complete a Coop Contractor Agreement for 6 months and determine the exact time & schedule.
