Therapy creates a respectful, confidential space in which client and therapist can work together to engage the healing process. While no one style of therapy is right for every person or every issue, research has shown that the quality of the relationship between client and therapist is a key factor in the outcome of therapy. The process of therapy supports positive transformation and relief from problems such as: depression and anxiety, relationship difficulties, life crisis and change, recent or past trauma, grief and loss, illness and somatic conditions, compulsive behaviors, creative blockage, and issues related to spirituality.

I specialize in working with clients who want to get to the heart of core problems, at the pace that works best for them. The therapeutic process helps to clear an opening through which your true self can shine through and re-pattern your life in deeply satisfying ways.

Some of my clients choose to practice a creative therapy technique, such as sandplay or process painting, in the process of healing. Others stay with therapeutic conversation alone. Either way, I am a therapeutic companion to accompany you through emotionally charged terrain on the way to deeper change. I invite you to call or email me so that together we can decide whether or not I am the right therapist for you.

Therapy is an opportunity to solve problems, to overcome difficulties you might face in your relationships, career, or emotions. Therapy is a specific relationship that is focused on making the healthy changes you want and need to make. As a psychologist, I teach skills and offer this unique relationship that empowers you to be present, confident, resourceful, and kind. You don't have to be stuck, overwhelmed, or feel disconnected from your life. Therapy can help.
My approach to therapy is based on the concept and practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness reveals how wellness is our natural state of being, and that everyone has the potential to reclaim and rediscover their basic wellness. Positive change and a more satisfying life is possible because wellness is always available.

I work with adults, couples, and children (ages 4-17). I treat depression, anxiety, panic, chronic pain, relationship problems, anger, trauma, OCD, stress, grief, ADD/ADHD, and issues related to chronic illness, disability, addiction, parenting, career goals, spirituality, and family transitions. Call me at 503-894-3068  for a free 15 minute phone consultation.
