Come explore print making with natural objects from outdoors!
We will be using washable inks , crayons & tempra paint to create beautiful rubbings and prints from the outside world!

Messy Monkeys will resume in September to every Friday from 10:30 - 12:30!

Youth artists should be registered with the studio at least 24 hours in advance,
classes fill up fast first come first serve.
There is a maximum of 12 artists per group.

LET’S GET MESSY!  
Drop-in Art, play – relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while your child is free to enjoy messy art playtime. Don’t worry; we’ll clean up the mess!   

The studio will provide multiple sensory art stations for your child to explore that could include finger painting, water color, beans, clay...each session different stations will be available. In addition to these stations, there will be a special project each week that you and your child can complete together if you choose. Learn more about special projects for each day below!

9/17: Self Portraits Project

Create a portrait of yourself or family member with watercolor & crayons. Then frame it and bring home your masterpiece!

9/24: Leaf Pattern Prints

Make imprints of leaves using painting and pressing methods. Create beautiful leaf prints, while learning about imprints & spatial relations.

10/1: Finger Print Fall Tree

Create a beautiful fall tree with just your finger print! This activity will include mixing paint, learning about nature, developing your fine motor skills while creating a fun and messy tree.

10/8: Los Dias De Los Muertas Mexican Plaster Skull Painting

Celebrate the Day of the Dead with painting and decorating plaster skulls!

10/15: Los Dias De Los Muertas Paper Flowers

Celebrate the Day of the Dead through paper flower making!

10/22: Scented Pumpkin Project

Create a paper pumpkin with paints, drawing & special fall scents.

10/29: Mask Making

Create your own mask for Halloween by Collaging, painting & drawing. Each artist will go home with their own Halloween mask!

11/5:  Animal Finger Puppets

Make your own animal finger puppet with fabric, glue, & more!

11/12: Fall Crowns

Enjoy a Fall Walk in the Buckman neighborhood while collecting natural fall objects. From there you will take these natural items to make a mixed media crown!

11/19: Weather Watch Board

Learn about the weather and changes in season through creating a weather watch felt board. Each artist will design their board to take home and watch the weather all year round!
