Summer Drawing Journal Trade 
Leader: Beth Ann Short
This summer commit to a creative journey that won’t overwhelm, but will stimulate your creativity in all areas of your life.  Participants can expect inspiration from others in this summer long experiment.  In each meeting participants will spend time together drawing and discussing their art and creative process.  At the end of each meeting participants will trade journals with another participating artist.  Journals will be provided and included in the price of the class! 
Wednesdays~ June 9th, July 14th & August 11th from 6-8pm

**Participants in this workshop are welcome to attend the workshop “Breaking Through Creative Blocks” at half price enrolled in this summer drawing series.

Glass Pendants

Create beautifully fired, hand cut glass pendants without a kiln!
These are the latest in jewelry fashion statements and they are simply gorgeous. These pendants are quick to with stunning results.  Making just one is just simply not enough so in this class we'll make at least THREE completed pendants to take home as a gift to yourself (you deserve it) or for someone else.
We'll also discuss unique tips for working with your own photographs to create customized pendants edged in silver.

Painting

Acrylic Painting Open Studio
Leader: Beth Ann Short
In this afternoon workshop, participants will prep a surface and begin painting an acrylic piece.  Participants will also have access to Beth Ann for painting support (mixing & technique).  This will be the beginning of an on-going monthly painting series that will go on into the fall.  This workshop is for artists 9 -109!
Sunday, August 8th from 12:30-3:30pm

If you bring your own painting materials, the lab fee will be waived.

Power Animals Rock!

The more you understand your power animal, the more you understand yourself.  Discover your power animal and begin a friendship that will last a lifetime.  Create a work of art, using oil pastels and collage, to honor your new found spirit guide.  This 2 hour workshop of guided meditation, story-telling, and art-making is for children ages 7-12.

TEENS: Wearable Art Workshop

In this fun-filled course, learn a variety of techniques to create your own hand printed garments. Learn how to use paper stencils and a variety of stamping techniques to develop an image or pattern, & create your very own custom wardrobe. Experiment with imagery, & find the right process to transfer multiples of your work to a variety of surfaces. Learn to push an idea with color, texture, & layering during this 3 week interactive printmaking workshop.

Hand Printing 101
Leader: Audrey Whitlatch
Experiment with traditional hand printing techniques, in a non-traditional manner, on a variety of plates. Each week learn a new process and alternative printmaking techniques, to find new ways of making a mark. Develop a vessel of prints throughout the course and unfold a new life with each process. Get lost in the transcendental process of layering, unconsciously create, and improvise with color, pattern and texture through monoprints, collagraph & block printing techniques.
