The 100th Monkey Studio is looking for art from the community to explore areas in all of our lives.  Please read submission guidelines before submitting ANY work!

Submission Guidelines:
1. An artist may submit 1-5 pieces.
2. Submissions will be accepted via email in jpeg format.  These images will also be considered for the postcard representing that show.  Please send quality images, no larger then 400KB.
3. There is no submission fee for shows, except for 18 & Younger Art Show and Juried Art Show, due to expenses of Jury and Awards for those months.
4. Please include contact information (name, address, email, phone).
5. All submissions should include a short (one paragraph) written bio.   
6. All submissions should include a short (one paragraph) statement of how the art pertains to the submitted show theme. 
7. All submissions should include for each piece of art: Title of piece, date created, media, dimensions and price/NFS.Submissions that are NOT complete with the above requirements will not be selected. 
8. We will not accept forwards to websites for show submissions.
9. Deadlines are show specific (please see below). 
10. Replies to submissions will occur with in 48 hours of deadline of show.  Instructions for dropping off and picking up work will come with acceptance information. 
11. All shows will hang for one month.

Showing in the Center Gallery: HIV/AIDS
Make a statement about HIV/AIDS in your experience of the world.
In the Lounge Gallery and Main Gallery spaces: Hope
What gives you hope?
Deadline for submissions: November 10, 2008

January 2009: Consumerism
Consumerism is the equation of personal happiness with the purchase of material possessions and consumption.
Deadline for submissions: December 10, 2008

February 2009: The Senses
Art should relate to one or all of the senses: taste, smell, sight, touch and/or hearing
Deadline for submissions: January 12th, 2009

March 2009: The Art of Expressive Therapists
Deadline for submissions: February 10th, 2009
Submissions should be from practicing Expressive Arts Therapists or students currently in training.

April 2009: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Deadline for submissions: March 10th, 2009

May 2009: 3rd Annual 18 & Younger Artists Only
Submissions may be made by any youth artist (18 years of age or younger).
This will be a Juried Show with awards for Creative Content, Use of Media and Best in Show.
This show will have a $5 submission fee.
Awards:
One week of Art Camp (valued at $220)
One punch card (valued at $100)
One class/workshop of artists choice

June 2009: Gender
How has your gender impacted your experience in life...your experience as an artist?
Deadline for submissions: Monday, May 11th

July 2009: America?
How do you see America today?
How has our history influenced those currently living here?
What do you see for the future of America?
Deadline for submissions: Friday, June 12th

August 2009: Memoirs
Create a piece of art that illustrates your memoirs.
Altered books encouraged.
Deadline for submissions: Friday, July 10th

September 2009: 3rd Annual Juried Show
This Juried Show will require a $10 entry fee.
This will be a Juried Show with awards for Creative Content, Use of Media and Best in Show.
Awards will be given.
Deadline for submissions: Tuesday, August, 11th

October 2009: Altars & Shrines
Create an altar or shrine about something you honor in your life.
Deadline for submissions: Friday, September 11th

November 2009: Pilgrimage
A pilgrimage is a long journey or search for some type of moral significance. Sometimes, it is a journey to a sacred place. Members of many major religions participate in pilgrimages.
Have you ever taken a trip physically, emotionally or spiritually that you might consider a pilgrimage?
Create a piece of art about it!
Deadline: Monday, October 12th

December 2009:
